SUMMARY: The Assistant General Manager role is a training position for possible advancement to General Manager -- full responsibility for operations and financial performance of the mall. The Assistant General Manager has responsibility for the specialty leasing operation at the mall. The AGM's role contributes to the financial success of the mall through effective leasing of temporary space to tenants.
Specific responsibilities include canvassing/prospecting the regional market as well as researching potential concepts to generate new leads, effectively negotiating terms of tenancy with operators, securing proper approvals and documentation, assisting with set-up of cart/kiosk, and participating in collection of rent.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
SKILLS: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in Management preferred. CSM preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills as well as a professionally courteous and engaging approach. A demonstrated track record and desire to perpetuate success in managerial, public relations, retail and/or marketing. Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, LotusNotes).
